CE marking of Floor:
EU Commission pointed that it is forced to mark CE on wood floor and engineered wood floor, which is used for exporting, from the date of 1st, Mar., 2008 (accord with constructive product directive 89/106/EEC and European harmonious Standard EN14342); The floor coverings like laminated floor, PVC floor, resilient floor for export are forced to Mark CE from the date of 1st, Mar., 2007 (accord with constructive product directive 89/106/EEC and European harmonious Standard EN14041).
Also, CE marking of wood floor, laminated floor, resilient floor, carpet should be carried out by European Notified body under conformity attestation system 3. Under system 3, the CE marking is accepted by all importers, especially to European big buyer, and effectively avoid Europe technical barrier to achieve freedom sales.

The process of Floor CE Certification:
Testing and Certification for Flooring - USA standards:
- ASTM D2394-05: “Standard Methods for Simulated Service Testing of Wood and Wood-Base Finish Flooring”
- ASTM F1344-04: “Standard Specification for Rubber Floor Tile”
- ASTM F1913-2004: “Standard Specification for Vinyl sheet floor covering without backing”
Testing and Testing for Flooring - Chinese standards:
The standards of China has been formally issued and implemented including “national standard for solid wood flooring” (GB/T15063-94), “National Standard for Laminated flooring” (GB/T18102-2000) and “National Standard for engineered wooden flooring” (GB/T18103-2000). Standards for Bamboo flooring of bamboo floor had been established is about to be issued. Standards for integration material floor and cork floor are in the process of establishment. And before the enforcement of these standards, the manufactures produce the floorings according to the standards of USA, German, Japan.
In China, Ceramic tile must be CCC market. |
